The England Cricket Board (ECB) has announced details of the domestic county finals for the upcoming season. There will be a total of eight finals across men's, women's, and disability competitions. The inaugural Vitality Blast Women's Finals Day will be held on July 27, while the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy final will take place on September 21. The Metro Bank One-Day Cup Women's League 2 final is scheduled for September 14.

In addition to these finals, the ECB has also announced the inaugural ECB Women's T20 County Cup. It will be a new knock-out competition for teams from all three tiers of the women's domestic structure. The final will be played on May 26. The Disability Premier League Final will also be held in September.

For the first time next season, women's professional domestic T20 and 50-over competitions will align with the men's tournaments. This means that there will be eight professional women's teams competing in the Vitality Blast and Metro Bank One Day Cup. The matches will take place alongside the men's competitions as the ECB plans to grow the women's game.

Eight counties have been awarded Tier 1 status by the ECB as part of a restructuring of women's domestic cricket in 2025. These counties will all compete under their county names, except for The Blaze and Lancashire Thunder. The Vitality Blast Women's Finals Day will be a standalone event, while the Metro Bank One Day Cup will have two semi-finals and a final.

The alignment of women's and men's competitions marks a significant step forward for women's cricket in England and Wales. It is hoped that this will help to increase the visibility of women's cricket and attract more fans. The ECB has also announced that they will be investing in grassroots women's cricket to develop future talent.

The upcoming season is set to be a historic one for women's cricket. With the introduction of the new T20 County Cup and the alignment of domestic competitions, there is a lot to look forward to.
